After this period, the charge level remained stable, with a minor decline typical of all batteries. This seemed to verify the cell as a battery, not a capacitor, which often struggles to retain charge long-term. Test Four was performed by Donut Lab itself, using a prototype battery in a Verge motorcycle at a fast charger. The cell, rated at 18kWh, charged from 9% to 80%—approximately 14.5kWh—in 12 minutes.
